AKLAN – Two more public schools in this province resumed on Dec. 6 limited in-persons classes.
Joining Laserna Integrated School in Nabas, Aklan holding face-to-face classes are Banga Elementary School in Barangay Poblacion, Banga, Aklan and Malinao School for Philippine Craftsmen in Barangay Biga-a, Malinao, Aklan.
Principal II Herline Teodosio of Banga Elementary School said their school passed the readiness assessment of the Department of Education and the Department of Health.
She believes the involvement of community leaders, school personnel and parents is crucial in the implementation of face-to-face classes.
Twelve learners in Kindergarten and 16 from Garden 1 to Grade 3 have been allowed for the classroom learning for a maximum of four hours. Classes are conducted half-day every other week.
Malinao School for Philippine Craftsmen is also taking part in the limited face-to-face learning. Principal III Jocelyn Nillasca said the technical vocational school is catering to Grade 11 to 12 for a maximum of 20 students for each grade level.
The learning modality is a combination of one straight face-to-face instruction and one straight modular distance learning.
Schools must have adequate facilities to ensure the safety of learners, school personnel and teachers during pandemic.
Learners, preferably from within the municipality where the school is located and with expressed support and consent of parents, are allowed to attend in the limited classes./PN
