BACOLOD City – The motorcycles they were riding crashed in a center island of the national highway in Barangay Zone 1, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified them as Mark Rogen Las Pinas, 21, of Barangay San Fernando, Talisay City and Kert Donguinez, 20, of Barangay Alacaygan, E.B. Magalona.
They sustained head and body injuries, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, the victims were racing their motorcycles going to Bacolod City when the incident happened around 11:20 p.m. on March 13. They were believed to be intoxicated.
Las Pinas and Donguinez were rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.
The attending physician declared one of them “dead on arrival,” while the other one died around 12:30 a.m. on March 14./PN
