ILOILO City – Two employees of a water refill station on Fuentes St., City Proper were arrested for robbing their office.

Now detained at the City Proper police station were Arnold Villanueva, 23, of Bacolod City and Mark Limutao, 22, of Arroyo St., Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.

The suspects were employees of Ong Bun water refill station owned by Gerald Ong.

The suspects entered the water refill station around 9:45 p.m. on Monday and held cashier Jocelyn Bales at knifepoint.

The two pocketed P5,740 and before leaving tied Bales’ hands and covered her mouth.

After the two had left, Bales managed to untie her hands and sought help from bystanders who in turn alerted the police.

Villanueva and Limutao were arrested.

Limutao said they actually did not have any plan to rob their office but their employer refused to lend them money for their haircut.

He said Ong would not release their salary if they did not have a haircut.

“We did not have money to pay the barber so we asked him for money. But he refused,” Limutao added./PN
