BACOLOD City — Two suspected illegal drug dealers were apprehended in separate buy-bust operations yesterday.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives arrested Jessie Torres, 45, of Purok Cosmos, Brgy. Taculing here at about 1:40 p.m.
Earlier in the day, at about 7 a.m., PDEA operatives collared Socorro Regeno, 53, of Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City.
Agents led by Jay Espares seized from Torres three small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and a big plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
The alleged illicit substance has a street value of P20,000, Espares said.
Other items recovered from Torres were two lighters and two tooters.
Espares said they have placed Torres under surveillance for two weeks prior to the operation.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 6 here.
In Himamaylang, agents led by James Afuang seized from Regeno three small sachets of suspected shabu with a street value of P2,000.
Regeno was detained in the lockup cell of the Himamaylan City police station.
PDEA yesterday filed charges against Torres and Regeno before the Bacolod and Himamaylan city prosecutors’ offices, respectively./PN
