ILOILO City – Two drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Jalandoni Estate, Lapuz district around 12:05 a.m. yesterday.
The suspects were Yvone “Nene” Dela Cruz Francisco, 34, of Barangay Alalasan, Lapuz; and Ritz Sumagpao Gardose, 35, of Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district.
A police poseur buyer bought from the suspects a sachet of suspected shabu for P5,000.
An additional six sachets of suspected shabu were seized from Francisco.
Officers of the Iloilo City Police Station’s City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Captain Val Cambel confiscated a total of 20 grams of suspected shabu valued at round P136,000.
Francisco and Gardose were being held at the custodial facility of the Iloilo City Police Station 2, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
