ILOILO – Two persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) tested positive in a drug test conducted at the Iloilo District Jail – Male Dormitory in Barangay Nanga, Pototan, Iloilo on Sunday morning, May 7.

Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-Nanga warden Jail Chief Inspector Denver Beltran, however, clarified that the two PDLs were only remitted to their facility on Friday, May 5, after they were caught in a buy-bust operation.

Beltran, in an interview with RMN Iloilo, said they conduct monthly and quarterly random drug tests for the 946 PDL of the jails, but this is the first time the facility’s personnel has also undergone a drug test.

Of the 100 BJMP personnel, none tested positive for drug use./PN
