BACOLOD City – Two persons were hurt in a road accident in Barangay Luna, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The 35-year-old James Colonia and 21-year-old Rosa Ann Galang – all residents of the village – sustained body injuries, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 5.
A tanker truck driven by Allan Atillo, 53, of Mandaue City, Cebu hit a tricycle Galang was riding and then Colonia who was at a waiting shed.
Galang and Colonia were brought to the Cadiz District Hospital for medical treatment. The former was later transferred to a hospital in this city.
Atillo, meanwhile, was detained in the lockup cell of the Cadiz City police station, facing charges./PN
