LIBACAO, Aklan – Two rape suspects in unrelated cases were separately arrested on Sunday and Monday.
One was arrested at his house in Barangay Luctoga here on Feb. 14.
Rodel Agudez, 35, was taken to the municipal police station. He was accused of raping a minor.
The arrest was effected around 5 p.m.
The court set no bail bond for Agudez’ temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, joint elements of the Himamaylan City police station and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Negros Occidental arrested rape suspect Alvin Viarre Dagohong, 25, on Feb. 15 in Sitio Bungyod, Barangay 2, Himamaylan City.
Dagohong was tagged in a rape case way back in October 2020,in Himamaylan City. The complainant was a 32-year-old deaf woman.
The suspect was arrested in his house by virtue of a warrant of arrest (Criminal Case No. 21-4836-HC) issued by Presiding Judge Walter Zorilla of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 56 (Himamaylan City) on Jan. 20, 2021.
With the court denying him bail, Dagohong was detained at the Himamaylan City police station./PN
