ILOILO City – Two weeks of surveillance on a drug pushing suspect paid off for Police Station 1.

The 45-year-old Benjie Caringal of Barangay Concepcion, City Proper was busted around 5 p.m. on Dec. 21.

He was arrested after selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Zamora, City Proper.

Four more sachets were found in Caringal’s possession when he was frisked.

The suspect was taken to Police Station 1.

Caringal sold the sachet for P300, police said.

As of this writing, the police were readying the complaint against Caringal for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, specifically for illegal drug possession and peddling./PN
