ILOILO City – Two women wanted for estafa were arrested on Bonifacio Drive, Barangay President Roxas, City Proper.
Reina Ortiz Pangilinan, 33, and Elizabeth Ortiz Pangilinan, 63, were residents of San Lorenzo Village, Barangay Loboc, La Paz district, a police report showed.
Officers from the La Paz police station served them a warrant of arrest at around 11:20 a.m. on Thursday.
The Pangilinans were detained at the custodial facility of the La Paz police station.
It was not expressly stated in the police report how the suspects were related.
Their case was lodged at the Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 9 as Criminal Case No. R78-18.
Presiding Judge Rysty Ann Espinosa-Borja issued the warrant on April 4.
The court recommended a bail bond of P6,000 each for the suspects’ temporary liberty.
It was not immediately clear as of this writing if the suspects were able to post bail./PN
