20 NegOcc scholars undergo tech-voc training

BACOLOD City – Twenty students in Negros Occidental avail themselves of the provincial government’s technical-vocational scholarship program.

“This scholarship is a rare privilege. A lot of job opportunities await after these students complete their course,” said Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. on Friday.

The first batch of scholars, from different cities and municipalities, will start studying next week at Dualtech Training Center Foundation Inc. in Calamba, Laguna.

Dualtech is a technical school with more than a thousand scholars from different provinces in the country.

Its main program focuses on electro mechanics technology that teaches basic skills, industrial skills, personal development, and further knowledge that include digital electronics and basic automation.

Through the two-year scholarship program, the provincial government aims to produce high-quality electro mechanics technicians for industrial complexes in Negros Occidental. (With a report from PNA/PN)
