ROXAS City – More than 7,000 residents of this city were given jobs through the job fairs and special recruitment activities conducted by the city’s Public Employment Services Office (PESO).

This was announced by Mayor Ronnie Dadivas himself following the release of the yearly accomplishments of PESO – Roxas City yesterday, December 27.
“Ginakalipay ko nga sa bilog nga tuig 2024 linibo ka kabuhi ang aton nabuligan nga magbag-o kag nahatagan paglaum sa masanag nga buas-damlag, lakip diri ang masobra 7,000 nga nakasulod sa trabaho paagi sa ginpatigayon nga job fairs kag special recruitment activity,” Mayor Dadivas said.
Roxasnons have also availed themselves of the services offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Training Career Advocacy Recruitment Coaching, Passport on Wheels, OFW Help Desk, and Department of Science and Technology-Siyensyaportunidad, among others.
Moreover, around 6,000 Roxasnons have benefitted from the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) of the Department of Labor and Employment.
Mayor Dadivas expressed his gratitude to the PESO-Roxas City, which was named the Best PESO Office in Region 6, for its efforts to assist thousands of job seekers in the city.
“Kami nagapati nga kon madamo ang trabaho, nagadaku ang kita, mas maga-umwad ang aton ekonomiya,” added the city mayor./PN
