MANILA – Twenty-one volleyball players from Western Visayas are set to compete in the 2021 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference today at the PCV Socio Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.
Outside hitter Aiza Maizo-Pontillas (Passi City), middle blocker Dell Juanico Palomata (Aklan), and opposite hitter Jonah Sabete (Escalante City, Negros Occidental) will spearhead the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors. Ilongga beach volleyball pair Dhannylaine Mae Demontaño and Jackielyn Estoquia and former Central Philippine University Golden Lions standout Glaudine Trongcoso are also part of the Lady Realtors squad.
Black Mamba-Army Lady Troopers, on the other hand, has three players from the region in Guimarasnon opposite hitter Jovelyn Gonzaga and Ilongga outside hitters Nerissa Bautista and Jeannie delos Reyes.
Middle blocker Shannen Palec (Iloilo), libero Dancel Dusaran (Bacolod), and outside hitter Kassandra Marie Gequillana (Bacolod) will play for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
Meanwhile, Bali Pure Purest Water Defenders will be headed by Bacolodnon open hitter Patty Jane Orendain and Pontevedra, Negros Occidental-native middle blocker Geneveve Casugod.
PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters will be bannered by La Carlota, Negros Occidental-native opposite hitter Christine Joy Soyud and Talisay City, Negros Occidental-based middle blocker Katherine Villegas.
Cignal HD Spikers has inked up Bingawan, Iloilo-native outside hitter Fiola Ceballos and Bacolodnon setter Maria Arielle Estrañero, while Creamline Cool Smashers has Bacolodnon outside hitter Fille Cainglet-Cayetano.
Furthermore, Perlas Spikers will parade Ilongga opposite hitter Roma Joy Doromal. Cherry Tiggo 7 Pro Crossovers has opposite hitter Ma. Shaya Adorador of Leon, Iloilo, in its lineup.
