ILOILO City – Around 213 police personnel who just graduated from a rigid 45-day Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) training would be deployed across Western Visayas.

These newly trained personnel who would serve as an additional force to different police stations and mobile forces will be formally deployed today, September 11.

Of the number, Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will get 35 new police officers each, 28 will be assigned to Aklan PPO, and 20 each to Antique PPO, Capiz PPO, Guimaras PPO, and Negros Occidental PPO.

During a sendoff ceremony yesterday, Brigadier General Archival Macala, Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) deputy regional director for administration, reminded the neophyte cops to be dedicated to their work and observe the Philippine National Police mandate which is to serve and protect the people.

PRO-6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky, for his part, told the police officers to do their share with dedication and perseverance.

“Regardless the unit of assignment, your mission is the same, that is to do your share in our efforts of making Western Visayas better than of what it is today. Despite being young in the service, you are aware how challenging our job is. As members of the PNP, we carry the mandate which is to serve and protect the community,” Wanky said./PN
