226 fugitives fall in week-long ops

ILOILO – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) has arrested 226 fugitives from 212 operations across the region in a span of one week, or from May 6 to 12.

Of the suspects arrested, 42 were most wanted and the remaining 184 were other wanted persons, according to PRO-6’s Regional Operations Division.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCCPO) and Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) made the most arrests for most wanted persons at 11 each.

The Antique Police Provincial Office (AntPPO) followed with six arrested individuals and the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RMFB-6) with five arrests each.

Other units – Aklan Police Provincial Office (AkPPO), Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), and Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO) – apprehended one fugitive each.

For other wanted persons, NOCPPO, IPPO and AntPPO had the most number of arrested at 82, 47 and 16, respectively.

PRO-6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky commended his men for this another breakthrough result in the relentless campaign against wanted persons.

“Congratulations and keep up the good work. May these arrests serve as warnings to the remaining wanted persons in the region that they cannot hide forever from the long arms of the law,” Wanky said./PN
