ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) law enforcement operations dubbed “Birada Semana” netted 238 individuals with warrants of arrest from June 20 to 26, 2022.
From the aforesaid number, 38 were classified as most wanted persons (MWP).
Of the 38 MWPs, Negros Occidental had the highest number of arrests with 13; followed by Iloilo province with 11; Aklan and Bacolod City with four arrests each; Antique with three; Capiz with two; and Iloilo City with one.
As for the 200 other wanted persons arrested, Negros Occidental topped with 76; Iloilo province had 61; Antique had 15; Bacolod City had 13; Iloilo City had 12; Aklan had 10; Capiz had eight; and Guimaras had five.
All the arrested persons were turned over to the court concern.
The PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, hailed all unit commanders across the region for their achievements in the campaign against wanted persons.
“The PRO-6 will continue look for the remaining wanted persons to make them answer for the crimes they’ve committed,” said Dongbo./PN
