ROXAS City – A total of 247 children belonging to the Pan-ayanon Bukidnon Indigenous Peoples (IP) group in Capiz had their first mall exposure and Christmas field trip at SM City-Roxas recently.

Organized by the Pan-ayanon Bukidnon Hope Center (PBHC), the kids’ mall exposure and Christmas field trip was part of the Educational and Cultural Pilot Project of Indigenous People Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Rafe Laluma.

Through this activity, the IP kids were given the opportunity to experience and see for themselves the colorful and cheerful Christmas in the mall.

The project aimed to strengthen the indigenous cultural communities/indigenous peoples (ICCs/IPs) and their socio-cultural awareness.

This undertaking was supported by the Capiz provincial government headed by Gov. Fredenil “Oto” Castro, Vice Gov. Mitang Magbanua and other provincial government officials such as Provincial Board members Trina Almalbis, Thea Faith Reyes and Sonny Besa, and Ex–Officio Board member Renzo Teves./PN
