CAPIZ – Twenty-six stunning ladies and gentlemen vying for the crowns of Lin-ay kag Hangaway sang Capiz 2024 were presented during a sashing ceremony held recently.
Representatives of the various schools and sectors in Capiz demonstrated their individual skills and knowledge in responding to questions from the media and attendees.
The candidates for Lin-ay sang Capiz are: Cathrian C. Lozada (College of St. John Roxas), Mitchie S. Sangalang (CAPSU Dumarao), Joana Sharmine Y. Arrobang (CAPSU Main), Catherine V. Adaniel (CAPSU Burias), Kyla Mae B. Nielsen (CAPSU Sigma), Kristen Joy P. Gaton (Colegio Dela Purisima Concepcion), Jennelyn C. Diel (Colegio Dela Purisima Concepcion), Aaliaa Srishti V. Sharma (Filamer Christian University), Alyza B. Hermenegildo (Filamer Christian University), Jaja C. Calsado (Hercor College), Stephanie P. Vergabera (League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Capiz Chapter), SJ T. Delos Reyes (SK Federation of Capiz), and Charlotte Christine N. Valgomera (Sangguniang Panlalawigan Province of Capiz).
While the candidates for Hangaway sang Capiz are: Christian Dave D. Vipinosa (CAPSU Dayao), Hanns D. Arraya (CAPSU Dumarao), Paul Niño O. Deondo (CAPSU Main), Christian Mark Rodel V. Constantino (CAPSU Pontevedra), Chito Nel F. Conserman (CAPSU Sigma), Christian D. Inocencio (Colegio Dela Purisima Concepcion), Stephen Al Matthew A. Maquiran (Colegio Dela Purisima Concepcion), Christian Paul O. Aguirre (Filamer Christian University), Alben Patrick C. Yerro (Filamer Christian University), Jopher D. Danora (Hercor College), Joshua L. Baltero (League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Capiz Chapter), Rodney A. Barrios (SK Federation of Capiz), and Shundale G. Gallenero (Sangguniang Panlalawigan Province of Capiz).
Gov. Fredenil H. Castro and Atty. Luvim D. Amores, pageant executive director, led the introduction of the lovely candidates at SM City Roxas on Sunday, March 10.
Castro shared a message of inspiration with the candidates for their upcoming competition, while Amores said a candidate must have strength, courage, intelligence, and beauty to dominate the stage on April 30.
The pageant is in line with the 2024 Capiztahan Festival. This year’s edition is the 123rd Founding Anniversary of the Civil Government of Capiz since its establishment in 1901./PN
