BORACAY – This island resort is expecting at least 28 port calls of different cruise ship companies next year.
Catlical jetty port administrator Niven Maquirang said these port calls would help boost the industry of the returning tourism hotspot.
Late this year, Maquirang said they are expecting four port calls.
Luxury liners making port calls in Boracay only stay in the island for several hours.
Accommodating these port calls, according to Maquirang, is “part of the thrust of the Aklan provincial government to promote Boracay as a cruise ship destination.”
“Aside from Boracay, we will also promote other tourism destination in the province,” he added./PN
