ILOILO City – A motorcycle driver was shot to death by three motorcycle-riding gunmen in Barangay Cabudlan, Dueñas, Iloilo.
Alquin Lama, 38, was a resident of Barangay Jaguimit, also of Dueñas. He was attacked at around 5:20 p.m. on June 18.
According to Iloilo police provincial director Colonel Marlon Tayaba, Lama was on his way home when the assailants blocked his path then peppered him with bullets.
Lama died while being rushed to the district hospital in Calinog town.
Tayaba said someone tried to shoot Lama last year but missed the target.
“Marami siyang kaaway kay siguro pinatay. Old grudge ang tinitingnan natin,” Tayaba said.
As of this writing, the Dueñas police had not identified any suspects./PN
