ILOILO City – Three persons were arrested for robbing a bakeshop in Barangay So-oc, Arevalo district.
Bakeshop security guard Rhimo Rivera, 37, initially caught Mark Galvez, 20, of Barangay West Habog-habog, Molo district.
Rivera said Galvez was one of the three persons who stole packs of bread from the bakeshop around 3:30 a.m. on Monday.
There were actually three intruders, Galvez said, but two managed to flee with five plastic packs of bread worth a total of P3,000.
Rivera took Galvez to the Molo police station.
The Molo police conducted a hot pursuit operation and managed to arrest Christopher Argonsola, 18, and a 17-year-old lad, also of Barangay West Habog-habog.
Galvez told the police the two were his companions.
The suspects destroyed the cyclone fence and the lock of the sliding door to gain entry to the bakeshop, said Rivera.
A nephew of Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog reportedly owned the bakeshop.
The minor suspect was turned over to the City Social Welfare Development Office while the two others remained at the Molo police station lockup cell./PN
