The affected villages are Barangay Tiza in Roxas City, Barangay Bilao in Sapi-an, and Barangay Poblacion Norte in Ivisan.

Roxas City leads with the most cases at 78, followed by Mambusao (21); Ivisan (20); Panay (11); Dumalag (nine); Jamindan (eight); Pontevedra, Dumarao, and Sapi-an (seven); President Roxas (five); Cuartero, Ma-ayon, and Tapaz (four); Dao and Panit-an (three); Sigma (two); and Pilar (one).

Data from the Capiz PHO further revealed that there has been a significant increase in the total number of dengue cases.

Morbidity Week 8 saw 17 new cases, which brings the total to 194 cases. This is a 125.58 percent rise compared to the 86 cases recorded in the same period in 2023.

The public is urged by the Capiz PHO to religiously observe the 4S strategy to combat dengue: Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites; Secure self-protection by wearing appropriate clothing and using mosquito repellent; Seek early consultation for any symptoms; and Support fogging operations in the affected areas./PN
