CADIZ City, Negros Occidental — Three men were charged with murder over the death of a 25-year-old seaman here.
Charged before the City Prosecutor’s Office here were Santiago “Tagoy” Aguisanda, Reynaldo “Kawa” Tan and Kenneth Inocencio, all of Brgy. Zone 2.
They were accused of killing Rey Carbajal of Brgy. Zone 6.
Carbajal was walking home with three companions along an alley in Purok Eden, Brgy. Zone 4, at about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday when the suspects waylaid them.
Carbajal was shot and stabbed.
He was rushed to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic but was declared dead on arrival. He succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head and a stab wound in the back.
Carbajal was set to embark on an international trip next month.
His companions were identified as Louie Gamarcha, 25, a helper-mechanic from Purok Bolinao, Brgy. Zone 6, and Cheefit Zabala, 23, of Purok Sto. Niño of the same barangay. They were unhurt.
Gamarcha and Zabala were able to identify the suspects.
