BACOLOD City – Three drug suspects were arrested in separate drug operations in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Saturday morning and Friday afternoon.
Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas, Jr., San Carlos City police head, identified two of the suspects as Herondio Villarin Aguirre, 39, a cell phone technician, of Purok Calumpang, Barangay 1, and Aldrin Surposa Visitacion, 32, of Burgos Street, Barangay 6, San Carlos City.
Aguirre was a “high-value target.” Both were suspected members of the Virtucio Drug Group, Katalbas said.
The suspects were arrested at around 1 a.m. Saturday along Ylagan Extension, Barangay 6, San Carlos City.
Confiscated from them were about 5 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P60,000.
Another operation on V. Gustilo Street, Barangay 5, San Carlos City at around 4:45 p.m. Friday resulted in the arrested of another suspected member of the Virtucio Drug Group.
Katalbas identified the suspect as Leister Jamelarin Fernandez, 38, of Rigor Street, Barangay 3, San Carlos City. Fernandez, he said, was also a “high-value target.”
Found in Fernandez’s possession was about 5 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of also P60,000.
The suspects have been detained. They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
