BACOLOD City – Three men were tagged as suspects in shooting to death a resident of Barangay Inayawan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Orlando Tumpag Biana, 59, was killed in his own house, said Chief Inspector James Latayon, municipal police head.
The motive was not immediately clear as of this writing.
Biana and his family were inside their house at around 7 p.m. on Nov. 3 when they heard gunshots. They dropped to the floor and found cover, police said.
One of the gunmen shouted, “Pagwa-a da ang bana mo! Kon indi, maulamid kamo!”
Biana rushed to his bedroom to hide. At the time the gunmen barged into their front door and headed to his bedroom.
Upon finding Biana, they grabbed and dragged him outside, and brought him to the house’s terrace where they repeatedly shot him, said the police.
Police identified the suspects as Rico Villanueva, 30, Jeorge Villanueva, 33, and a certain “Dondon Estrada,” 35.
All residents of Barangay Inayawan, Cauayan, the suspects fled after the shooting, police said, citing witnesses./PN
