ILOILO City – Three homemade shotguns were turned over to the police station of Ajuy, Iloilo.
According to Barangay Captain Eduardo Gumban of Tipacla, Ajuy, the guns were surrendered to him by owners fearful of being arrested for illegal gun possession.
Gumban turned over the shotguns to the police on Monday around 12:30 p.m. Police Officer 2 Jerold Perjes received the guns.
The Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act prohibits anyone from possessing guns without first getting the necessary licenses from the police./PN
