BACOLOD City – Three persons were arrested for allegedly engaging in illegal cockfight gambling around 3 p.m. on Nov. 10 in Barangay Malubon, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Apprehended were Leonardo Claro, 52; Rico Jimena, 41; and Noel Jimena, all residents.
Sagay City Police Station said that the suspects were caught in the act of illegal cockfighting which is a violation of Presidential Decree 449.
Recovered from their possession three live fighting cocks and two gaffs.
The suspects are in the custody of the Sagay City Police Station./PN
