BACOLOD City – Three persons were caught engaging in illegal cockfighting in Barangay Cabacungan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
They were residents Jonie Carnacion, 55; Dante Labringca, 45; and Gaspar Pales, 54, a police report showed.
Police confiscated from them two game fowls and P600 bet money around 4 p.m. on June 14.
The suspects were detained in the custodial facility of the La Castellana municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
