ROXAS City — Three men were arrested at a checkpoint in Barangay Adlawan here for possessing deadly weapons.
Seized from Rincy Altoveros, 26, Edgar Dangan, 33, and Bert Dangan, 28, all of Panitan town, were a .45-caliber pistol and a balisong or butterfly knife.
They were onboard a motorcycle when Capiz Police Provincial Office personnel manning the checkpoint flagged them down at about 11 p.m. on Aug. 12.
A magazine with seven ammunition; a wallet containing an automated teller machine card and various documents; three mobile phones; and P45 cash were also confiscated from them.
Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team members in Adlawan village also helped arrest them.
