BACOLOD City – Three persons allegedly engaging in illegal cockfighting were arrested in Barangay Sewahon 1, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Police recovered from them five wounded game fowls, two gaffs and P380 bet money around 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 21.
The suspects were Ramil Quilla, 40; Marianito Delara, 38; and Rene Borres, 44. They were detained at the Sagay City police station.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974 would be filed against them./PN
