CAPIZ – Three individuals were apprehended for allegedly organizing and participating in an illegal cockfight in Barangay Acuña, Tapaz.
The arrested individuals were “Nonoy,” 41; “Toto,” 31, both residents of the barangay; and “Bobet,” 52, of Barangay Garangan, Calinog, Iloilo.
Personnel of Tapaz Municipal Police Station caught the suspects in the act leading to their capture at around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17.
Six live fighting cocks, three dead roosters, cockfighting paraphernalia, and P800 in bet money were seized./PN
