3 nabbed for ‘illegal’ trade of petroleum products

SAN JOSE, Antique – Three persons were nabbed for illegal trade of petroleum products in Barangay San Angel.

Police identified the suspects as Edwin Gerona, Jake Gerona and Nolasco Cahilig Jr.

They were caught in the act of engaging in the illegal trade of petroleum products during a checkpoint operation around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, a police report showed.

Recovered from their possession were 3,100 liters of gasoline contained in 155 drums and the transport truck they used, it added.

The suspects were detained in the custodial facility of the San Jose municipal police station, facing charges./PN
