ILOILO City – Three persons were successively arrested in three days in this city and Iloilo province for estafa, domestic violence and homicide.
First to be arrested was a man wanted for four years by the police.
The 45-year-old Narciso Asan was apprehended on May 13 in Barangay Magsaysay, La Paz district here where he was a resident.
Asan was served with an arrest warrant for estafa at around 11:10 a.m.
It was unclear as of this writing if he was able to post bail. The court set the bail bond at P20,000.
The next day, May 14, a man charged with violating Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004) was caught in Barangay Aspera, Sara, Iloilo.
The 32-year-old Robert Balodo of Barangay Bagaygay, Sara was specifically charged with domestic violence.
From Barangay Aspera, the police took him to the Sara police station around 8:30 a.m.
The court set the bail bond at P24,000 for Balodo’s temporary liberty.
On May 15, a homicide suspect was arrested in Barangay Cuyad, Alimodian, Iloilo.
From his house, Richard Canada was taken to the Alimodian police station. He was arrested at around 8 a.m.
The arresting policemen were armed with an arrest warrant from the court which also set the bail bond at P100,000./PN
