ILOILO City – Three drug pushing suspects were arrested in an anti-drug operation in Barangay MH Del Pilar, Jaro district on Monday afternoon, Oct. 3.
Taken to Jaro Police Station were Michael Velasco, 38, of Barangay Poblacion Lambunao, Iloilo; Fritz Andico, 35, of Barangay Old Airport, Mandurriao, Iloilo City; and Jackelou Caberti, 36, of Barangay Bito-on, Jaro.
They were arrested at around 3:07 p.m. after a poseur-buyer bought from them P1,000 worth of suspected shabu, police said.
Cops confiscated a total of 23 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams and with a street value of P102,000.
According to Police Captain Eduardo Siacon, Jaro police station chief, Cabirti and her two companions were not on their list of drug suspects.
“Wala sila sa aton listahan, mga newly identified nga diri lang nag-transact,” Siacon said.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
