BACOLOD City – Three persons were caught engaging in illegal cockfighting in Barangay Pilar, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
Police identified them as Calvin Hirro, 30, Rolando Pabores, 42 and Radney Alicante, 48 – all residents of Hinigaran town.
They were nabbed on May 17 when police officers chanced upon them in an illegal cockfight.
Recovered from the suspects’ possession were two game fowls, two gaffs, two scabbards, two leg bandages and P460 bet money.
The suspects were detained in the custodial facility of Hinigaran municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
