BACOLOD City – Three persons were caught while playing the illegal game bug-oy in Canetown Subdivision, Barangay 19 A, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
The 30-year-old Valentine Castillo, 28-year-old Ronilo Ocag and 23-year-old Mark Ignacio were detained at the Victorias City police station lockup facility after their arrest around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Recovered from their possession were six batad shells and P80 gambling money, police said.
They were facing charges for violating Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling. (With Ian Paul Cordero/PN)
