ILOILO City – Three higher posts in the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) will be possibly be vacated anytime from now – the directorships of the Antique Police Provincial Office (ANPPO), Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).
The ANPPO is currently under Police Colonel Alexander Mariano while the APPO is under Police Colonel Crisaleo Tolentino.
The BCPO, on the other hand, is currently led by Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir.
While Martir is set to retire this April, Mariano and Tolentino will have new and higher assignments.
Police Major General Robert Rodriguez, director for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) of the Philippine National Police based in Camp Crame, confirmed that many have already expressed interest to become the police directors of either Antique, Aklan or Bacolod City.
“Pero indi ta pwede i-mention names nila unless may order na,” Rodriguez said.
He added that any Police Colonel may apply as long they are qualified and will undergo proper process.
“I-deliberate sang board ang tanan nga applications. Then ipa-approve kay PNP chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. bag-o i-forward kay governor para pili-on niya ang gusto niya nga provincial director,” Rodriguez said.
PRO-6 director, Brigadier General Leo Francisco said, “Maganda ang performance ng mga police directors natin kaso lang need nila mag-move out for a higher post for their promotion naman.”/PN
