3 ‘pushers’ arrested, P10-T ‘shabu’ seized

ILOILO City – Three suspected drug pushers were caught in a sting operation in Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district, a police report showed.

They were identified as 21-year-old resident Micky Pinto, 22-year-old Maibel Joy Rosquillo of Barangay San Juan, Molo, and 25-year-old Cedrick Keno of Barangay Boulevard, Molo, the report added.

They were arrested after they conspired in selling a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P1,100, police said.

City antidrug personnel staged the buy-bust operation around 3:50 p.m. on June 12.

They recovered nine more sachets of suspected shabu – valued at around P10,000 – from the suspects.

According to the police, Pinto is an identified “street-level” drug suspect. Keno and Rosquillo, meanwhile, are newly identified drug personalities.

The three were detained in the lockup cell of the Arevalo police station. They were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
