3 San Agustin grads among Top 10 in pharmacy board

ILOILO – Three alumni from the University of San Agustin have achieved Top 10 rankings in the Pharmacist Licensure Exam (PHLE) held early this month, announced the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Nick David Martinez Cornico placed third with a score of 92.47%, followed closely by Jemekka Jazmin Gladys Calizo Miaral in fourth place with 91.47%, and Darlyn Niña Tiania Melgarejo securing sixth place with 91.10%.

These results were released yesterday afternoon, confirming the university’s status as a leading institution for pharmacy education.

The University itself was ranked as the fourth best-performing school nationally, boasting an 81.63% pass rate.

Overall, 1,185 of the 2,147 candidates passed the exam, translating to a 55.19% success rate.

The examinations were conducted on April 16 and 17 across multiple centers, including Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The Board of Pharmacy, overseen by Officer-in-Charge Anthony Aldrin C. Santiago and members Dr. Mildred B. Oliveros and Dr. Adelina C. Royo, supervised the licensure examinations./PN
