BACOLOD City – Three suspects were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 5, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified them as 27-year-old Edel Salado, 35-year-old Aris Guzman and 40-year-old Remo Jimenea Jr.
Sixty-four sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P225,000 were recovered from their possession, police said.
Salado, Guzman and Jimenea were caught after they sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P4,500 around 4:50 p.m. on Monday, the police added.
Aside from the suspected illegal drugs, two cellphones, a digital weighing scale and other drug paraphernalia were seized.
The suspects were detained in the Silay City police station’s custodial facility.
They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
