BACOLOD City – Three women were arrested for possessing unlicensed firearms in Barangay Minapasuk, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
They yielded three .38 revolvers loaded with live bullets; one M14 magazine loaded with nine bullets; four rifle grenades; eight cellular phones; medicines; and subversive documents, a police report showed.
The suspects, who refused to give their identities, are suspected members of the underground revolutionary movement, it added.
Police officers conducting mobile patrol caught the three women carrying the firearms and other items around 5 p.m. on July 30.
The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of the Calatrava municipal police station, facing charges./PN
