THE SAYING about rats deserting a sinking ship could now be rewritten as rats joining a sinking ship with the actions of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Although not a rat, he is certain deserter having left his supporters, his donors, and his family heritage. What will he gain from this, a new job or nothing if Kamala Harris wins the US presidential election?
What is the current value of the biblical 30 pieces of silver?

Time for a swift kick
How does former US president Donald Trump have the gall to suggest Taylor Swift supports him?
It is a lie, not his first but a massive one that is easy to prove wrong.
At present she had not made any statement supporting a candidate in this upcoming US election but previously she had supported US President Joe Biden and criticized Trump. These suggest that she is unlikely to ever support Trump.
Why would people vote for a confirmed liar, and yes, many politicians have lied, but not on such a grand scale.

Sympathetic Syndromes?
Sometimes the comments about letters to the editor are more interesting than the letters and certainly more colorful.
A recent comment referred to “Trump derangement syndrome”.
This is a phrase that needs something extra, maybe an apostrophe. Is it about Trump’s derangement being a syndrome of the worst of political battles?
Is it Trump’s effort to cause derangement in the election process so that he can return?
Is it about a deranged writer’s obsession with Trump?
I’ll leave it to the reader to decide.

Cat-astrophe
Oops, I missed International Cat Day, Aug 8, but it’s OK as my cat has declared that every day is cat day.
