ILOILO City – Three hundred police recruits took oath as members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) yesterday in Camp Delgado here.
Much is expected from the new recruits, according to Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 director.
Of 300 new breed of police officers, 255 are males and 45 are females.
PRO-6 spokesperson Colonel Gilbert Gorero said these rookie police are regular quota for this year after completing more than three months of training.
“The oath-taking ceremony was simultaneously held all over the country and the next recruitment will be announced soon,” said Gorero.
Much is expected from the new recruits, according to Pamuspusan as he reminded them to be responsible officers since they are already “government property” and that they are subject to rules, policies and regulations governing the organization.
After their oath taking they have already the rank of patrolmen will undergo a monthly salary of P29,668 aside from other allowances and benefits.
These patrolmen will undergo the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) for six months at the Regional Training School 6 (RTC6) in Bacolod City.
This will be followed by another six months of Field Training Program (FTP) which will qualify them for
After the FTP, they will be temporarily assigned to the police mobile force in Negros Occidental while waiting for another training, the Basic Internal Security Operations Course. After this, they would be deployed to police stations.
“After completing trainings, they will be assigned to other police stations and we expect that they will perform accordingly kasi malaki ang sahod nila,” said Pamuspusan./PN
