BACOLOD City – A total of 366 residents of Silay City in Negros Occidental took yesterday’s coronavirus disease 2019 test as part of the local government unit’s campaign against the viral infection.
Mayor Mark Golez said these individuals were all tagged as “close contacts” of confirmed COVID-19 positive patients.
Golez said the mass testing was conducted in the city’s COVID-19 Healing Center in Barangay E. Lopez.
He expects that all test results would be released next week.
Negros Occidental 3rd District Cong. Francisco “Kiko” Benitez provided 400 testing kits.
Following their tests, the 366 individuals will undergo home quarantine and those who will test positive will immediately be moved to the city’s Healing Center./PN
