Four inmates from the Arevalo Police Station were found positive for COVID-19.
The four had been sent to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Ungka, Jaro on April 16. The swab test done for all inmates entering the station confirmed they were positive for the virus.
Head of Arevalo PNP Captain Chen Tañagras said four police officers had close contact with the inmates. The officers have been isolated and are undergoing swab tests.
The police chief added that the operation in Arevalo PNP will continue despite the findings. The public can still file police blotters since the office has set up a help desk outside the station, according to Tañagras./PN
