ILOILO City – A buy-bust operation targeting a suspected drug den on Lopez Jaena Street, Barangay San Isidro, Jaro district led to the arrest of four individuals yesterday morning, November 8.
Authorities identified the suspects as Darius Orig, 52, the main target of the operation, and a native of Quezon Province; Leo Angelo Partisala, 49, a resident of La Paz district; Lyn Ariola, 46, live-in partner of the main target, and a resident of Jaro; and Erlyn Ariola, 34.
In an interview, Orig admitted to selling and using illegal drugs, claiming that he had last used drugs yesterday morning. He also revealed that his supplier, known only by the alias “Feeds,” provides him with illegal drugs worth P5,000, which he resells for a profit of P500.
L. Ariola and Partisala also confessed to using illegal drugs to the police. However, E. Ariola denied involvement, stating she does not use illegal drugs.
Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6, PDEA units from Antique and Aklan, Regional Special Enforcement Team-Alpha, and Police Drug Enforcement Group recovered from the operation 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P120,000, including the buy-bust item, P4,000 in buy-bust money, and drug-related paraphernalia.
