BACOLOD City – Four persons allegedly engaging in illegal cockfighting were arrested in Barangay Lopez Jaena, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
They were Christian Talisic, 34; Daryl Gripo, 30; Simplicio Carbaquel, 69; and Joemarie Nazareno, 29, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession around 2:30 p.m. on June 10 were four wounded game fowls, P430 bet money and two gaffs, the report added.
The suspects were detained at the Saga City police station./PN
