ILOILO City – Two motorcycles collided in Barangay Concordia Sur, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras on Sunday night. Four persons died due to severe head injuries.
The casualties were taken to the Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial Hospital in Jordan, Guimaras. They were Alvin Gamlaga, 18; Jomarie Trono, 18; John Castor, 21; and Andy Magon, 15.
Gamlaga and Trono were both residents of Barangay Poblacion, Nueva Valencia. Castor was from Barangay Katipunan, Tapaz, Capiz while Magon was a resident of Barangay Concordia Sur, Nueva Valencia.
The collision happened at around 10 p.m., according to Police Captain Henry Gaburno, Nueva Valencia police chief. Gamlaga and Trono bound for Jordan town.
Gamlaga who was driving their motorcycle lost control of it; they crashed against the motorcycle of Castor and Magon.
The four young men did not have helmets, said Gaburno.
“According to witnesses, Gamlaga was driving too fast and moved out of his lane,” he added./PN
