ILOILO City – Four illegal drug suspects were arrested in a police buy-bust operation in Barangay San Juan, Molo district.
The following were detained at the Molo police station on Tuesday: Efren Juatas, 65; Bryan Quimsing, 34; Inocentes “Jero” Quimsing, 58; and Lolita Ong, 57.
The arrests were made after an undercover police officer bought from Inocentes Quimsing a gram of shabu for P11,200 at around 5:10 p.m., said Chief Inspector Marlon Valencia, Molo police chief.
The sale was consummated outside the elder Quimsing’s house, added Valencia.
Quimsing rushed back to his house after sensing he was being entrapped, said Valencia.
Policemen ran after the suspect and found the three others in the house, according to the Molo police chief.
“We caught Juatas and the younger Quimsing sniffing shabu,” said Valencia.
The police recovered 10 more grams of shabu worth P150,000.
Valencia said intelligence reports linked the suspects to the Prevendido drug group.
