4 hurt in road mishap

HAMTIC, Antique – A motorcycle and a top-down tricycle collided on Monday evening in Barangay Pu-ao here. Four persons were brought to the hospital.

The collision happened at around 8:30 p.m.

The top-down tricycle was driven by George Dan Antonio, 29, of Rosario Street, Barangay 1, this town. With him was Robert Gordon, 34, of Tobias Fornier town. They were ice cream vendors heading south.

The motorcycle rider, on the other hand, was Ramon Checa, a 40-year-old Antique Police Provincial Office non-uniformed personnel. He was with backrider Vanessa Dacillo, 23. Both were residents of Barangay Poblacion 2, Hamtic. They were headed north.

Both vehicles incurred damage while their riders sustained injuries and were brought to the hospital.

Checa is scheduled for a leg operation. The three others were declared outpatients. 

The driver of the tricycle was brought to the Hamtic police station./PN
